Professor Wheelan (EDUC020 W16) discusses Most Likely to Succeed with Executive Producer Ted Dintersmith, alternative ways of schooling, and a speciflc educational reform project.
A documentary of a school whose students engage in project-based learning, where skills such as confidence, time management, and collaboration are developed, and the usual state requirements like standardized testing are disregarded. The Sundance Review says, "This is a film about parents, teachers and, most importantly, students, namely the grassroots participants that make up all the statistics we hear about on the nightly news. ...[A]n engaging look at how big picture issues can be intimately explored through human confessionals." Film at 7pm in Loew's Auditorium.
